An Open Letter to the AGNT Community

Wow! What a 3 months it’s been. We can’t say enough about all the love and support we’ve received since our launch in July. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all our friends, family, and of course our users. It’s been an incredible journey thus far and we’re excited to see what the future holds for AGNT.

It’s amazing to think that in just 3 short months, AGNT has registered over 6000 users and facilitated hundreds of bookings. We couldn’t be happier with how things are going.

One of the main challenges in building a marketplace is solving the chicken before the egg problem. For us, it was determining what comes first, artists or organizers? We knew having a strong network of artists at launch would be vital to establishing AGNT’s presence. In order to recruit artists, we offered free photo-shoots and gig opportunities in select markets; this was highly effective in helping us build a strong and diverse roster of artists quickly.

One question we get a lot is: “When will I get booked?”

Well, many artists are already getting booked with AGNT. Artists who have made an effort to promote themselves on the platform are seeing their hard work pay off. By sharing their profile link and gaining ratings, these artists have propelled themselves ahead of the pack. Utilizing AGNT as a tool has become very fruitful for many artists on the platform.

With that in mind, the AGNT team continues to work every day to bring more and more customers to the platform, and ultimately create more opportunities for hungry DJs. With our operations based in Canada, we’ve utilized our home market (specifically Alberta) to test incentive programs and gather real-time feedback about the platform from our local venues and promoters.

Of course with any business, you want to use the feedback loop to build the best possible experience for your customers. By concentrating our efforts on a smaller market we’ve narrowed our organizer scope drastically, allowing us to improve AGNT before expanding to other markets. From there, we fine tune the app, the incentives, and other details to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Some of my favorite AGNT success stories revolve around organizers that are in a pinch to find a last minute DJ for their venue or event. There’s nothing more satisfying than hearing how AGNT was able to connect a panicked organizer with an artist in such a short time frame.

There is a real need for AGNT, and the excitement and exponential growth of our user base clearly shows it. So please hang tight as we continue to expand into more markets, including yours! We look forward to a long and positive relationship with all our users.

Thank you very much for your time, and for being an important part of AGNT.

Stay away from this app. It only make it harder for bedroom DJ’s looking to break out in the scene.

I am a very established DJ who did this the hard way. I made a mock profile and linked one of my mixes to it. I have learned If you have never played anywhere and have zero connections in the scene, you will not get a booking from this app, no matter how good you are. They create a false expectation for new DJ’s, and therefore shouldn’t be marketed so heavily towards them.

With that said, it’s a good app for established DJ’s who are either too drunk or too busy throwing cakes to keep an itinerary and don’t mind paying a fee for no reason.
